Kazem al-Saher: The Maestro of Melody, Weaving Timeless Romance
Kazem al-Saher: The Pioneer of Romance and the Headmaster of Classical Singing
Kazem Al Saher, known as the “Caesar of Arabic Music,” has led the classical music school for 40 years, pioneering romance in his artistic career.
Singing in Classical Arabic
Kazem al-Saher has been famous for his unique singing of romantic poetic poetry in classical Arabic since his first appearance in 1984 with the album “The Olive Tree.” He developed this approach over 40 years by singing the slogan poems of Nizar al-Kabbani and collaborating with major poets like Asad al-Ghariri, Aziz al-Rasam, and Karim al-Iraqi.
Czar Title
Kazem Al Saher’s music, sound, and style are a trademark registered in his name. He is famous for being the romantic artist whom Nizar Kabbani calls Caesar when he sings. Kazem Al Saher sang the ”Choose” poem in 1994, but journalist Rabi Hennedy claims to have given him the title after attending the Carthage Festival in 1997.
Despite the importance of the title Caesar, Kazem al-Saher considers it a reason to deprive him of the name his mother gave him and he loves. He prefers his name over the title.
Women Poets in Tsar’s Career
What stands out most in Kazem al-Saher’s career is his inability to repeat collaborations with female poets, although most of his songs are for women by female poets. His collaborations include Nashwa Zara in 2008’s “Give Your Hug,” Darin Shabir’s ‘Jigyasa Karo Na’ and ‘Umarer Naach,’ and Jumana Jamal’s ‘I Passed Through My Chest.’

Women in the Life of Kazem El Saher
Although associated with many rumors of marriages, divorces, and engagements, Kazem Al Saher married his cousin Oruba al-Saher only once. The marriage produced children Wissam and Omar before they separated in 1996 and their relationship turned sour. They maintained a strong friendship until his death.
With the celebration of artist Kazem El Saher’s 76th birthday, he completes a 40-year career in art.
