The government aims to resolve the case comprehensively to protect Indonesia’s international standing. However, citing indications of default, the government is also considering pursuing criminal charges against Navayo.
This was announced by Minister Coordinator for Legal, Human Rights, Immigration and Correctional Affairs, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, during a press conference following a coordination meeting with the Ministry of Defense on Thursday, March 20.

The situation escalated when Navayo sought to enforce the arbitration ruling in France. “Dan sekian lama masalah ini dirundingkan berlarut-larut, sampai akhirnya Navayo mengajukan permohonan kepada Pengadilan Prancis untuk mengeksekusi putusan dari Arbitrasi Singapura dan meminta untuk dilakukan penyitaan terhadap beberapa aset pemerintahan Republik Indonesia yang ada di Prancis,” Yusril added.
