Kelly Reilly Becomes Partner at Ammunition Wines & Whiskey: A New Era for Celebrity Spirits
Kelly Reilly, known for her role in Yellowstone, has joined Ammunition Wines & Whiskey as a partner. This marks her first brand partnership in her 30-year career. Reilly has known the company’s founder, Andy Wahl, for years but waited to collaborate until now.
She notes that her decision-making mirrors her approach to acting—she is selective. Reilly’s English background contributed to her hesitancy about brand partnerships. However, she recognizes the growing acceptance of celebrities endorsing alcohol brands among consumers.
Many celebrities have entered the whiskey market, but Reilly aims to attract more women to whiskey drinking. She has invested in Ammunition and will participate in their upcoming “Soil to Spirit” campaign launching in early 2025. Only 36% of whiskey drinkers in the U.S. and the U.K. are women, a statistic she wants to improve.
Reilly enjoys whiskey for its storytelling and creativity. She suggests various ways to savor it, such as straight or in cocktails. The company produces both bourbon and rye, often using wine barrels for aging. Andy Wahl, co-founder, initially focused on wine but shifted to whiskey after realizing its popularity at industry events.
In recent years, spirits have gained market share, with American whiskey seeing significant demand. Ammunition has reported a 13% increase in whiskey sales, outperforming the overall market. Their unique aging process combines wine and whiskey, creating flavors like butterscotch and vanilla. Reilly believes that fans of Ammunition’s wine will enjoy their spirits.
