Kentucky Under Fire: 5 Injured in Shocking Shooting Incident
Shooting on Kentucky Highway Leaves Five Injured, Suspect at Large
Five people were injured in a shooting on a highway in the South American state of Kentucky, while the search for the suspect involved in the incident continues.
According to the report of the news agency ’AFP’, Randall Weddle, the mayor of London, Kentucky, told the local media that in addition to those injured by the shooting, a number of people were also injured in the car accident that resulted from the incident.
The shooting did not appear to be random, according to Randall Weddle, who spoke to the Louisville Courier-Journal. A radio host reported that the incident was the result of an altercation between two cars.
Randall Weddle said the suspected shooter opened fire on Interstate 75 from a wooded area off the highway.
Authorities are looking for 32-year-old Joseph Couch, who is believed to be the man involved in the shooting.
The sheriff’s office considers the suspect armed and dangerous and is warning people not to approach him.
Kentucky State Police spokesman Scotty Pennington urged people to stay inside, stating that “we have no idea where the suspect(s) are.”
This incident comes after a recent school shooting in Georgia, where two students and two teachers were killed.
A 14-year-old boy has been charged with murder in the incident, while his father, who allegedly bought him the gun as a present, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and second-degree murder.
