Brittany Hamlet Stars in “Little Victories,” Airing April 6

The picturesque region of Brittany,France,provides the backdrop for the endearing comedy,”Little Victories,” scheduled to air Sunday,April 6,2025,at 9:10 p.m. on France 2. The area has also served⁢ as a filming location for other productions, including an episode of the series Clem ⁣ in February 2025 adn the film Iron.Brittany’s coastal charm has also ⁢fostered musical talent, including singer nolwenn Leroy ⁤and Charles, a ‍recent semi-finalist on⁢ star Academy.

“Little Victories” Filmed in Finistère Hamlet

Released in theaters in March 2023, “Little ‍Victories” garnered the public prize at the Alpe 2023 festival. The film centers on Alice Le Guennic, a teacher ⁢and⁣ mayor in the small, fictional village of Kerguen. Alice juggles her classroom duties with the concerns of her constituents. The plot thickens when Patrick accuses‍ Emile Menoux,a spirited man in his⁤ sixties,of causing a road accident. Emile’s inability to read prevents him from completing the accident report, leading him to join ⁣Alice’s class.

Director Mélanie auffret, in the film’s press kit, described⁣ the chosen location as “an ⁤open theater.” After scouting ⁤80 municipalities, the production team selected Le Juch, a hamlet⁢ in Finistère, within the Pays de Douarnenez. Auffret noted, “I was struck by the contrast between the beauty of its alleys, its greenery, its buildings, and the social and economic reality that ‍touches it: it is a ⁤village on the wire which fights every day to maintain its social ⁢cohesion and its attractiveness.”

Cast of “Little Victories” Features Familiar Faces

“Little ⁤Victories” stars Julia Piaton, daughter of Charlotte de Turckheim, and Michel Blanc as the endearingly grumpy Emile.⁢ The film offers a poignant glimpse of Blanc, who passed away in October 2024. His absence is deeply felt ⁤by his colleagues, including Gérard Jugnot, who was visibly ⁢moved during a tribute at the Enfoirés concert.⁣ With its blend of tenderness, humor, and emotion, “Little Victories” promises to be a heartwarming viewing experience.
