Between July and September, over 135,000 passengers passed through the Farranfore airport, marking a slight increase compared to the same period last year.This positive trend mirrors a national pattern, with Ireland’s main airports seeing over 31.8 million passengers in the first nine months of 2024.

Steady growth throughout the Summer

Passenger numbers remained consistently strong throughout the summer season. July saw over 46,000 passengers,followed by nearly 50,000 in August and almost 40,000 in September.

The airport also reported a near-even split between departing and arriving passengers, with just under 70,000 departures and over 66,300 arrivals recorded.

Kerry Airport’s notable summer performance bodes well for the future, suggesting continued growth in tourism and travel to the region.
