Kerry Businesses and Individuals named in Latest Tax Defaulters List
Three Kerry entities, including a medical practitioner and a restaurant, have been named in the Revenue Commissioners’ latest list of tax defaulters. The list, covering cases finalized between july and September 2024, highlights instances of non-compliance with tax regulations across the country.
Nationally, the courts imposed fines totaling over €79,000 in 29 cases, while 36 settlements resulted in €15 million being recovered.locally, Atilla Adamik, a company director and medical practitioner based at Waterville Medical Center, was penalized €24,681 for non-declaration of income tax. This penalty stemmed from a Revenue investigation.
Dairy farmer James Walsh of Clashmealcon, Causeway, Tralee, was listed as a level 2 risk review by Revenue and fined €24,022 for under-declaring capital acquisitions tax.
In addition, Rivendell Investments Limited, trading as Tuk Tuk Asian Street Food, located in Manor West Shopping Centre, Tralee, was fined €632.50 for failing to hold a current liquor license.
The Revenue Commissioners’ report for the third quarter of 2024 indicates a nationwide total of 15,261 Revenue compliance interventions, resulting in a yield of over €172 million.
