Kesha Supports Kim Petras Amid Label Dispute
Kesha publicly voiced her support for Kim Petras after Petras accused her record label, Republic Records, of delaying teh release of her upcoming album. Petras claimed the label has stalled the release for six months and hasn’t compensated her collaborators, according to posts on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Earlier on Tuesday, January 20, Petras indicated she wishes to become an independent artist. “My album has been done for 6 months but my record label has refused to give me a release date or pay my collaborator’s for the work they’ve done,” she wrote on X. She added in another post, “I’m tired of having no control over my own career.”
Kesha shared a post on X expressing solidarity with Petras,though she did not elaborate further.
