Khaby Lame, the Senegalese-italian TikTok sensation with the largest following on the platform, has left the United States after being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The detainment occurred amid heightened immigration enforcement.

According to a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official, Lame, 25, was detained at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas on Friday for overstaying his visa. lame was granted voluntary departure, allowing him to avoid a formal deportation order, and has since left the country, the official stated.
Born in Senegal, Lame moved to Italy as a child and is an Italian citizen, according to DHS. His current location remains unclear, though he recently posted an Instagram story tagged in São Paulo, Brazil.
