Manchester United Takes on FC Twente in the First Match of the League System

The 2024-25 Europa League season has introduced a new format, similar to the UEFA Champions League. The competition will feature a league system, where 36 teams will compete in the League Period. Each team will play a total of 8 games, divided into 4 home games and 4 away games. The first round will ensure that teams from the same nation do not meet, with the top 8 teams advancing to the round of 16. Teams ranked 9-24 will participate in the play-offs to secure a spot in the round of 16, while teams ranked 25-36 will be eliminated.
