Al-Nashma National Team Kicks Off World Cup Qualifying Campaign Against Kuwait
The national team will begin its campaign in the third and decisive round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers tomorrow, Thursday, September 5, against its Kuwaiti counterparts at the Amman International Stadium at 9pm.
The team completed its technical and physical preparations today, Wednesday, at Al-Hussein Youth City’s Petra Stadium, where the technical staff led by coach Jamal Salami focused on the tactical aspect that Al-Nashama will attend tomorrow’s match.
Coach Jamal Salami confirmed that the team is ready for tomorrow’s encounter, stating, “We respect the Kuwaiti team, but we will only play to win, and that will contribute to achieving what is needed tomorrow.”
Player Ihsan Haddad emphasized the importance of the encounter, noting that the first meeting is often difficult as the players prepare and perform their duties and we try to please our Jordanian fans.
The national team will meet Palestinian opponents in the second round of the third round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Malaysia on Tuesday, September 10, at 5pm Jordan time.
The technical meeting reviewed the administrative and organizational instructions for the match, determining the colors of the two teams, with Al-Nashama appearing in white and Kuwait in blue.
Al-Nashama finished in the second group of the 2026 World Cup third and decisive round of qualifiers along with South Korea, Iraq, Oman, Palestine, and Kuwait.
According to the qualification system, the teams were divided into three groups, with six teams in each group, and the top two teams in each group would directly qualify for the 2026 World Cup, while the third and fourth-placed teams from each group would enter the fourth place qualifying round.
