The Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) is delighted to announce that Terry Smith, the inspiration for the popular TV series Ted Lasso, has secured significant investment within the league. A renowned athlete, coach, educator and entrepreneur, Smith will play a key role in expanding the league’s influence and reach.

Smith’s diverse sports career spans 12 years in professional football. During that time, he played for the Newpingland Patriots and other clubs in Europe, winning the European Championship. His coaching career has also been impressive, with nine championships in ten years. This includes three bowl championships, three national titles and two European championships.
