The Colombian singer Blend announced this Monday that it has acquired the Vendsyssel FFa soccer team in the second division of Denmark that he dreams of taking to the Champions League.
“I bought a football team in Denmark, this is going to be a very ‘cool’ project, I feel like playing FIFA (the video game) in real life. The team is in the second section and that’s how we wanted it.” , we wanted a team that we had to start with (from the beginning), we play career mode in real life,” said the Colombian, quoted in a statement from his team.
The 24-year-old artist got the Danish club, which plays at home in the stadium Nord Energi Arena in the city of Hjørring, with its manager Dímelo Jara.
“We are going all out next year to go to the First Division and why not be able to play ‘Champions’ at some point,” added ‘El Bendito’ in a post on the X social network, where he published a photo dress in the ‘VFF’ shirt.
Blessd’s announcement comes just two days after performing a huge concert in Medellín where he sang some of his main songs such as ‘Mírame’, ‘Soltera’ and ‘Medallo’ and where he was joined by other artists such as Maluma and Anuel AA.
It is worth noting that, according to Transfermarkt, the Danish team has a market value of 4.98 million euros, and a stadium with space for 10,000 spectators. However, the singer did not reveal the official acquisition price.
“I always dreamed of being a football player and now that I’m an artist I mix football everywhere (…) the biggest dream I’ve had is to buy a football team,” he added .
At the moment, Vendsyssel is in 10th place in the second division of Denmark, with 14 points and is in relegation positions, far from the leader Odense, who accumulates 37 points.
