Weifang Daily Weifang Media News On September 1, the fourth round (final) of the 2024 Weifang “Football Month” event – the Weifang “FA Cup” was held at the Weifang Olympic Sports Park Football Stadium. The Weifang Brilliance Football Team defeated the Linqu Football Association Team 2:0 in the final and successfully defended the Weifang ”FA Cup” championship.
In the first third and fourth place finals, Weifang Chaoyue team No. 17 Zhang Ning led the team to a 1:0 victory over Junda Hengyuan Hurricane, helping Weifang Chaoyue team achieve the best result in the team’s history in the FA Cup. In the subsequent championship and runner-up battle, Weifang Huachen team No. 15 Liu Peng and No. 13 Mou Xiaoyang scored with long shots in the first and second half respectively, helping the team to beat Linqu Football Association team 2:0 and successfully defend the Weifang City “FA Cup” championship. The winning Weifang Huachen team will represent Weifang in the 2024 Shandong Football Association Cup.
There were 16 teams and more than 800 football fans participating in the competition, which adopted a single-elimination system. In the 16 games, a total of 52 goals were scored, and the cumulative number of spectators exceeded 2,000. In the final championship and runner-up finals, more than 3,600 spectators watched the live broadcast of the game online.

It is understood that since 2015, the Shandong Football Association has started to hold the Chinese Football Association Cup qualifiers, and the Weifang amateur football team has started its journey in the FA Cup. In 2017, the Chinese Football Association reformed the FA Cup competition system, and amateur football clubs can participate in the qualifiers. In 2019, Weifang Jue Xiaoya Club represented Weifang in the Chinese Football Association Cup. This is the first time that Weifang amateur football team has appeared in the top Chinese football event.
