The Board of Directors of Al-Shabaab Sports Club has approved the formation of joint and individual sports directors of the club.
Al-Shabaab appointed Muhammad Abbas as director of football, Jassem Khamis as director of handball, Yasser Al-Subai as director of volleyball, and Adel Marhoun as director of athletics.
The Secretary General of Al-Shabaab Club, Sadiq Al-Aswad confirmed that the Board of Directors of Al-Shabaab Club continues its diligent development work. To achieve more success and increase the work level of the club’s gaming team and their results at the administrative and technical level.
Al-Aswad said that the club’s management has decided, starting from the new sports season 2024/2025, to replace the title of head of sports equipment with game directors, where the game director will replace the head of equipment.
He explained that the aim of this change is to attract the best sports experts to take up administrative positions at the club, as part of continuing to work to improve the administrative and technical working arrangements for all sports teams.
He added that the director of each sport will be responsible for managing the game and being the link or bridge between the field management and teams as well as providing a clear vision for all sports teams in it.
Al-Aswad said the club’s management intends to hire special managers through this change, each according to his specialty, and added that managers must have experience and knowledge of the technical aspects of the game, as well as the ability to manage the game.
He added that the board of directors will not directly interfere with the work of the gaming managers, but rather monitor and evaluate their work, through special periodic reports that they will submit to the administration.
Al-Aswad indicated that this change in administrative functions within the Al-Shabaab club will be subject to evaluation until a level of stability is reached.

Al-Aswad said that the sports committee, in its first experience, will directly supervise the work of the managers of the club’s sports teams, follow up on the implementation of plans and goals set by them, receive special periodic reports and present recommendations. Board of Directors.
He added that the sports committee will re-evaluate the administrative and technical work of the age groups in club games, through periodic reports that will be presented by Habib Al-Mutawa, a member of the governing board, who has considerable experience, knowledge, talent exploration and continuous pursuit to attract outstanding young players and hard work
Al-Aswad confirmed that the club’s board of directors is going to give the same attention to the age group sector in addition to developing working methods in the Al-Qaeda team, discovering talented players and refining their talents from a young age, especially since the club’s merger under the umbrella of Al-Shabaab Club.
