On the afternoon of September 2nd, the organizing committee of the “‘Workers’ Love Hengyang, ‘Football’ Is Wonderful Enough” 2024 Hengyang City “Welcome Tourism Development” Workers Football League was successfully held, marking that this sporting event aimed at promoting national fitness and assisting the Provincial Tourism Development Conference has officially entered the countdown stage.
Ye Yuquan, vice chairman of the CPPCC and deputy director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports, Pang Haiying, vice chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, Wang Yanhui, third-level researcher of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports, and Qi Bo, chairman of the Municipal Football Association, attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Pang Haiying, vice chairman of the Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.
At the meeting, Wang Yanhui, a third-level researcher of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports, introduced the preparations for the competition. The league is jointly sponsored by the Hengyang Federation of Trade Unions and the Hengyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports, hosted by the Municipal National Fitness Service Center and the Municipal High-tech Zone Education and Culture Service Center, and implemented by the Municipal Football Association. It is a new upgrade based on the Hengyang Municipal Government League, which has been successfully held for three sessions. A total of 16 elite teams have signed up to participate. The league will kick off at the Pinghu Park Football Field on the evening of September 9, and will start every Monday to Friday night for a period of 2 months.
Afterwards, Ye Yuquan, Vice Chairman of the Municipal CPPCC and Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Culture, Tourism, Broadcasting and Sports, put forward requirements for the event. In his speech, he pointed out that this employee football league is not only a display of sports competition, but also an important platform to promote the fitness of all people in Hengyang City and assist the Provincial Tourism Development Conference. He asked all relevant departments and units to start from the four aspects of ideological awareness, event organization, safety guarantee, and publicity atmosphere, and work together to promote the implementation of various preparatory work according to the time nodes to ensure that the event is smooth, efficient and high-quality, fully demonstrate the spirit of unity, hard work and positive progress of our city’s new era cadres and workers, and build momentum for the upcoming Tourism Development Conference.
After the meeting, the Municipal Football Association organized a draw to divide the participating teams into groups. All teams expressed that they would go all out and actively prepare for the competition, striving to show the best competitive state and team style on the field.
The 2024 Hengyang City “Welcome Tourism Development” Workers’ Football League is about to start. I believe that this football league will demonstrate the responsibility of the trade union and contribute sports power to the successful holding of the Provincial Tourism Development Conference.
