Empowering Young Athletes: The 2024 Teikyo University Cup Boys and Girls Futsal Tournament

The 2024 Teikyo University Cup Boys and Girls Futsal Tournament was held on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at the Teikyo University Hachioji Campus Athletics Stadium in Hachioji City, Tokyo. This exciting event was designed for children in fourth grade and younger, providing a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and passion for futsal.

Sponsored by the University’s Sports Bureau, the tournament was mainly organized by members of the Soccer Club of the Athletics Department of the University’s Alumni Association. A total of 16 teams participated in the round-robin match, including soccer teams from Hachioji City, Hino City, and Tama City.

The event kicked off with an opening greeting from Masayuki Iwade, director of the sports bureau, followed by a soccer clinic conducted by the Soccer Club of the Sports Bureau of the Alumni Association of Teikyo University. This interactive session allowed for direct engagement between university students and local children, creating a lively and heated atmosphere.
