On the 30th (local time), U.S. Golf Week revealed the list of 16 teams participating in the Grant Thornton Invitational (total prize money of $4 million), a mixed event between the PGA Tour and LPGA Tour. Kim Joo-hyung, ranked 25th in the men’s golf world rankings, will compete in this tournament paired with Gino Titikkun (Thailand), ranked 11th in the women’s golf world rankings. Kim Joo-hyung, who has three wins in total on the PGA Tour, is the only Korean player to participate in this tournament. Titikkun has accumulated 3 wins, including 1 win this year, on the LPGA Tour.

This year’s tournament will be held for three days starting December 13th at the Tiburon Golf Club (par 72, 6,556 yards) in Naples, Florida. The game format is Scramble on the first day (each player takes a shot and then selects a good ball to take the next shot side by side), Foursomes on the second day (playing one ball alternately), and Modified Fourball on the third day (each player takes a tee shot and then plays against the opponent from the next shot). The next shot is played with the ball of . The winning prize is $500,000 (about 700 million won).
Defending champions Lydia Go (New Zealand) and Jason Day (Australia) will attempt to win their second consecutive title. Andrea Lee-Billy Horschel, Nellie Korda-Tony Finau, Lexi Thompson-Rickie Fowler, Lilia Bou-Luke List, Rose Jean-Sahis Tygalla (USA), and Brooke Henderson-Corey Connors (Canada) are also on the roster.
