Kim Kardashian Makes Broadway Producing Debut With The Fear of 13

Kim Kardashian has expanded her professional portfolio into the theater industry, making her Broadway producing debut with the production The Fear of 13.

The play focuses on wrongful convictions and criminal justice reform, centering on the true story of Nick Yarris. Yarris was wrongly convicted in 1982 of the abduction, rape, and murder of a shop assistant in Delaware, resulting in him spending more than two decades on death row before his exoneration.

The production is scheduled to run for 16 weeks at the James Earl Jones Theatre. Previews began on March 19, 2026, with the official opening set for April 15, 2026.

Cast and Creative Team

The play stars Adrien Brody and Tessa Thompson. Brody reprises his role as Nick Yarris, a performance that earned him an Olivier Award nomination during the play’s London debut in the fall of 2024. Brody joins the Broadway stage following his 2025 Academy Award win for best actor for his role in The Brutalist.

Tessa Thompson makes her Broadway debut in this production. Thompson previously appeared Off-Broadway in 2016 and recently received a Golden Globe nomination for her work in Hedda.

The production is directed by David Cromer, known for The Band’s Visit and Bug. The script was written by Olivier Award winner Lindsay Ferrentino, who also received an Olivier nomination for this play. The narrative is based on a documentary directed by David Sington.
