Kingdom Come: Deliverance Gets Next-Gen Upgrade & Portuguese Localization

February 13, 2026 – Deep Silver and Warhorse Studios have released native versions of Kingdom Come: Deliverance for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, offering a substantial visual and performance upgrade to the 2018 medieval RPG. The update is available as a free download for existing owners of the game on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and marks the first time console versions have included Portuguese (Brazil) language support.

The next-gen update focuses on leveraging the increased processing power and storage capabilities of the current-generation consoles. Key improvements include native 4K resolution, enhanced textures, and a target frame rate of 60 frames per second. The developers have implemented AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution (FSR) 1.2 to upscale the image to 3840×2160, while increasing the native rendering resolution to 2560×1440.

Visual Enhancements

The visual overhaul aims to bring the console experience in line with the PC version running at Ultra settings. Improvements extend beyond resolution, encompassing both existing graphical features and the addition of new ones previously exclusive to PC. Texture and model resolutions have been increased to match PC HD assets, with an option to toggle this feature on or off in the game settings.

Under the hood, the rendering backend has been upgraded to utilize modern graphical APIs. Improvements to multithreading allow for better utilization of all available processor cores, while optimized asset streaming reduces stuttering and pop-in. A reworked culling system further reduces unnecessary draw calls, contributing to overall performance gains.

Platform Features and Save Compatibility

The update also introduces platform-specific features. Players can seamlessly transfer save games from their PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions to their respective PS5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles, allowing them to continue their progress without interruption. Integration with Deep Silver accounts unlocks access to in-game rewards, such as a horse caparison.

For collectors, a physical disc version of the updated Kingdom Come: Deliverance will be released on May 25, 2026. The digital version is available for download immediately.
