the members of Kingfishr first met while studying at the University of Limerick. During the performance, lead singer eddie Keogh playfully admitted their early songwriting was heavily influenced by Dermot Kennedy, stating, “They were Dermot Kennedy rip-off songs, no denying it.” He quickly added, ”It’s natural to copy your heroes,” acknowledging the importance of artistic beginnings.
