King’s College School Wimbledon, a prestigious UK institution, will establish its first regional campus in Abu Dhabi on fahid Island. The K12 school, in partnership with Aldar Education, is slated to open in September 2028, pending regulatory approval.
The new King’s College School Wimbledon Abu Dhabi campus will span 50,000 square meters and accommodate up to 2,220 students, offering premium education in the region. The school aims to provide complete academic readiness and character progress.
Talal Al Dhiyebi, group chief executive officer at Aldar, said the school strengthens Abu dhabi’s position as a premier destination for world-class education and talent development. The new campus reflects Aldar’s commitment to educational excellence and its growing education portfolio.

King’s College School Wimbledon has been expanding internationally, with campuses already established in China and thailand. Last year, The Sunday times ranked King’s in the top three schools in the UK.
Karl Gross, director of international schools at King’s College School, Wimbledon, said the partnership with Aldar Education marks an exciting milestone in building a global family of world-class international schools. He added that the Abu Dhabi campus will offer students a transformational education.
