King’s Hawaiian is bringing its signature softness to travelers ⁤passing through Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) with a unique promotional campaign offering⁣ free branded merchandise in ‍exchange for worn clothing.

Campaign Details: ‘say Aloha to First Class Softness’

From August⁢ 27-28, 2024, King’s Hawaiian will host a “Say Aloha ⁤to First Class Softness” installation in O’Hare’s‍ Terminal 2.The pop-up shop will feature limited-edition “Softwear Sets” – comfy sweatshirts and sweatpants ⁢inspired by⁤ the texture‍ of their iconic dinner rolls – ⁤along with soft travel pillows ⁢and eye masks.

Though, obtaining the merchandise for free requires a trade: participants must donate their own clothing at the installation. Private changing booths will be available for this purpose.⁤ All donated clothing will be given ‍to a Chicago-based charity, according to King’s Hawaiian.

Travelers who prefer not to part with their attire can still visit the booth to sample King’s Hawaiian⁤ sweet rolls and pretzel bites, while supplies last.

Brand Strategy and New Logo

The campaign is tied to ⁣King’s Hawaiian’s ⁣recent brand refresh, which⁣ emphasizes the “softness” associated ‍with its products. ⁤According to Raouf Moussa, chief marketing officer at King’s Hawaiian, the new logo reflects “the fluffy, oven-baked ⁣qualities our products are known for while embracing the warmth, good times, and aloha ⁤spirit that has always defined King’s Hawaiian.” At King’s hawaiian, we’re taking the idea of softness to new heights-and that’s not just because‍ we’re sending travelers into the skies with⁢ our soft new merch and samples of King’s Hawaiian Rolls and Pretzel Bites, Moussa stated in a press release.

The “Say ⁢Aloha⁢ to First Class Softness” installation and merchandise were designed by advertising agency Erich & Kallman.
