Knights of Columbus Food Drive Supports Hopkinton Pantry – 2026

February 25, 2026 Robert Mitchell - News Editor of Newsdirectory3.com News

Hopkinton Food Pantry Receives Critical Support from Knights of Columbus Food Drive

The Knights of Columbus is launching its annual Food for Families Food Drive to benefit the Hopkinton Food Pantry, operated by Project Just Because. The drive, a vital source of support for local families facing food insecurity, will run from Saturday, March 7, 2026, through Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Demand for the Hopkinton Food Pantry’s services has surged in recent months, leaving its shelves critically low. The pantry is struggling to meet the increasing needs of the community, a situation exacerbated by rising costs of living across Massachusetts. The Knights of Columbus are appealing to the generosity of local residents to help ensure their neighbors have access to essential food supplies.

Project Just Because, the non-profit organization that operates the Hopkinton Food Pantry, provides a full-service experience for those seeking assistance. Visitors are able to select from a list of available items, including perishable and non-perishable groceries, produce, meats, snacks, paper goods, and cleaning supplies. Delivery services are also available on Tuesdays and Thursdays for individuals unable to visit the pantry in person. Those needing delivery can reach the pantry by calling (508) 435-6511 or emailing pjboffice@comcast.net.

The Knights of Columbus are offering several ways for community members to contribute to the Food for Families drive. Donations can be made through checks, Amazon e-gift cards, or donor-advised charitable funds.

Individuals wishing to donate by check should make it payable to Project Just Because, with “K of C 4822 FFF Food Drive” noted in the memo line. Checks can be mailed to: K of C Food Drive, St. John the Evangelist, 20 Church Street, Hopkinton, MA 01748.

Alternatively, donors can purchase an Amazon e-gift card and have it emailed to pjboffice@comcast.net, including “K of C FFF Drive” in the message box.

Those who prefer to utilize donor-advised charitable funds can select Project Just Because in Hopkinton (Tax ID 06-1728553) and specify in the use or note area that the donation is for the K of C Council 4822 Food for Families Food Drive.

Project Just Because, Inc. Is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, meaning all donations are fully tax-deductible. The organization is dedicated to serving the needs of Massachusetts residents, offering not only sustenance but also a compassionate and respectful experience for all who seek assistance. Beyond the Hopkinton Food Pantry, Project Just Because manages numerous year-long and seasonal programs designed to support vulnerable individuals and families.

The Knights of Columbus are urging residents to give generously, emphasizing that no amount is too small to make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity in the community. The organization hopes the drive will replenish the pantry’s dwindling supplies and ensure it can continue to serve as a vital lifeline for Hopkinton residents.
