Mengenchoosi Nandinyerdene and Kamil Magomedov to Compete in Semifinals

Mengenchoosi Nandinyerdene (37, Mongolia) and Kamil Magomedov (32, Russia/Bahrain) will compete in a 5-minute x 3-round match in the semifinals of the global tournament lightweight (-70kg). Last season’s runner-up Nandin Yerdene passed the quarterfinals with a bye. Magomedov defeated Han Sang-kwon (28) in 1 minute and 17 seconds and advanced to the semifinals.

Kamil Magomedov’s Amateur Career

During his time in the Russian Mixed Martial Arts Federation, Kamil Magomedov won the welterweight (-77kg) category at the 2013 National Championships and the lightweight category at the 2015 National Cup Tournament. It is also noteworthy that he took second place in the featherweight (-66kg) competition in the North Caucasus Federal District in 2015.
