Knoxville Aviation is offering a $5,000 scholarship to help a student achieve their Private Pilot License (PPL).The scholarship is designed to offset the costs associated with flight training and is available to eligible applicants aged 16-21.
To qualify, applicants must reside within 35 miles of the Knoxville Municipal Airport, possess a valid FAA 3rd Class medical Certificate, and have successfully passed the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam. A commitment to complete flight training exclusively at Knoxville Aviation is also required.
Award and Request process
The $5,000 award will be issued after the recipient completes their first solo flight and will be directly applied towards the remaining costs of their PPL training. Applications are being accepted until September 30, 2025. The scholarship recipient will be announced on October 4, 2025.
