Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed Announced for GalaxyCon Oklahoma City Appearance

Former WWE stars Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed, previously known as members of the New Day, are scheduled for their first public appearances following their departure from the company. The duo will appear at the GalaxyCon event in Oklahoma City from May 22 through May 24, 2026.

The event, which takes place at the Oklahoma City Convention Center, will feature the pair for photos and autographs. According to the announcement, Creed and Kingston are scheduled to be available specifically on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.

The appearances come after both performers were included in a series of talent departures following WrestleMania. Kingston indicated that the decision to leave was linked to financial terms, following reports that the performers were asked to accept a pay cut.

Regarding the decision to exit the organization rather than accept lower pay, Kingston stated: Do not ever compromise or accept less than your due when it comes to your worth.

The transition away from WWE has also seen the performers return to previous or legal identities. Kingston, whose full given name is Kofi Nahaje Sarkodie-Mensah, is now utilizing the singular moniker Kofi. Similarly, Austin Watson has returned to the name Austin Creed, a persona he used previously as both Austin Creed and Consequences Creed before the WWE assigned him the name Xavier Woods.

The departure of Watson also raises questions regarding the future of the UpUpDownDown YouTube channel. While Watson founded the enterprise and used the Austin Creed name in connection with it, he reportedly sold the channel to WWE in 2021. The current status and future direction of the channel remain unclear.

Creed and Kingston will be among several wrestling personalities attending the Oklahoma City event. Fellow wrestling figure Gangrel has also been announced as a guest and will be present for all three days of the convention.

Tickets for the event are currently available, though organizers have noted that autographs and photo opportunities require additional payment beyond the cost of admission.
