Kojima Productions Announces Beyond The Strand 10th Anniversary Exhibition
On September 23, 2025, Tokyo-based independent studio Kojima Productions celebrated its 10th anniversary by hosting the “Beyond The Strand” event at TOHO Cinemas Roppongi Hills, detailing multiple upcoming entertainment projects, partnerships, and studio phases according to official studio announcements.
Hosted by studio founder Hideo Kojima, the presentation outlined a three-phase corporate evolution spanning from the studio’s founding in 2015 through 2035. According to the studio’s schedule roadmap, Phase 1 ran from 2015 to 2019 to build the initial team and launch a new independent intellectual property, while Phase 2 extends from 2019 to 2025 or 2030 to expand into the solar system of long-distance projects. Phase 3 is scheduled to launch from 2030 to 2035, equipping the independent developer with advanced tools for outer space exploration.
New Game Trailers and Entertainment Adaptations
During the event, Kojima Productions released fresh media for several high-profile entertainment properties currently in active development. According to studio disclosures, Xbox Game Studios and Kojima Productions premiered a brand-new teaser trailer for their upcoming collaborative title, “OD.”
The studio also provided updates regarding “PHYSINT,” an upcoming action espionage game currently in development. Alongside visual art assets, Kojima Productions revealed three cast members attached to the project: Charlee Fraser, Ma Dong-Seok, and Minami Hamabe, as reported in official studio recaps.
In film and animation developments, director Michael Sarnosky appeared at the event to discuss his directorial vision for the upcoming film adaptation of “Death Stranding,” produced in partnership with A24. Additionally, the studio announced “Death Stranding Mosquito” (working title), an animated franchise project expanding the “Death Stranding” universe, accompanied by an initial teaser trailer.
Corporate Partnerships and Brand Collaborations

Kojima Productions announced several commercial partnerships designed to connect its brand with retail and interactive technology sectors. According to official announcements, the studio is collaborating with Mitsubishi UFJ Card to issue a custom-designed credit card featuring a smartphone application linked to a merchandise redemption function.
The studio also partnered with Niantic Spatial to explore boundaries in interactive storytelling. To commemorate a decade of operations, Kojima Productions announced a collaboration with Shimizu Seizaburo Shoten, a sake brewery located in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture. The limited release features the studio mascot “Ludens” paired with the brewery’s flagship “Zaku” brand.
The anniversary celebration concluded with a special panel discussion examining the future of entertainment. Hosted by Jeff Keighley, the panel featured Hideo Kojima alongside guest creators George Miller, Guillermo del Toro, and Mamoru Oshii.
