He was elected as vice-chairman and achieved a second term.

In the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) General Assembly election held on the 25th, 157 member countries participated (154 countries voted), and he received 93 votes (60.39%) and was appointed as Vice-Chairman of the Technical Committee. The term of office is four years from January 1, 2025.

The International Gymnastics Federation Technical Committee leads major issues and decisions related to artistic gymnastics and, in particular, exercises great authority in determining technical difficulty scores and scoring standards. Director Yoon-soo Han’s election as Vice Chairman of the FIG Technical Committee is the first achievement in Korea.

In 2019, Director Yunsu Han served as the first Korean to serve as the technical committee chair of the Asian Gymnastics Union (AGU) (term 2019-2022, 2023-present), disseminating the latest information and technology to international referees throughout Asia, including developing countries in gymnastics. did it In particular, it has been evaluated as having greatly contributed to the growth and development of Asian gymnastics, with seven of the eight gold medals awarded in the men’s gymnastics event at the 2024 Paris Olympics coming from Asian countries.

Director Yunsu Han, who currently serves as a professor in the Department of Physical Education at Kyungpook National University, participated in the Olympics twice as a member of the national team (1992 and 1996), and won bronze and silver medals at the 1990 and 1994 Asian Games. After working as an international referee for over 20 years, he maintained a close relationship with major gymnastics figures from each country, which led to this achievement.

Director Yunsu Han is currently serving as a technical committee member for men’s gymnastics at the International Gymnastics Federation and is in charge of the ‘vault’ event, contributing greatly to raising the status of Korean gymnastics as a ‘vault powerhouse’.
