PATI, KOMPAS.com – Investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) are continuing searches at several locations in Pati Regency.
Most recently, the KPK visited the headquarters of the Artha Bahana Syariah (ABS) Savings and Loan Cooperative, located in Semampir Village, Pati District, Pati Regency, on Saturday afternoon (January 24, 2026).
The search is being carried out as an effort to collect and add evidence to strengthen the inquiry into allegations of extortion in the practise of buying and selling village official positions, which implicates Pati Regent Sudewo.
Observations at the location showed that the KPK investigators’ activity attracted the attention of local residents. People began to gather as early as 5:00 PM.

The KPK team was known to have begun searching the cooperative office around 3:30 PM and only left the location at 8:10 PM.
