Kraft Heinz to Remove Artificial food Dyes by 2027

Kraft Heinz announced plans to eliminate all FD&C artificial dyes from its U.S. product portfolio by the close of 2027. This initiative encompasses popular brands like Jell-O and Kool-Aid, which will transition to natural coloring alternatives.
The decision follows increased scrutiny from health officials regarding petroleum-based artificial colors in the food supply. While nearly 90% of Kraft Heinz’s U.S. products already forgo these additives, the remaining items will undergo reformulation.
The company intends to replace synthetic colors with natural options.Products affected include items in the beverage and dessert categories, such as Crystal Light and Jet Puffed marshmallows.
