CANNES,France (AP) ⁤— Kristen Stewart’s first foray into directing,The Chronology of Water,premiered at the Cannes Film festival Friday night ⁤to a receptive ‌audience,culminating‍ in a 4 1/2-minute standing ovation at the Palais des Festivals.

Stewart, visibly ​moved, embraced ⁤the cast following the screening. She also shared ‍an⁢ extended hug with ​Thierry Frémaux, head ⁢of the Cannes Film Festival.
