Høgenhaug Optimizes V-PRi Frame and Cockpit Setup
Høgenhaug’s bicycle combines aerodynamic features with a light build. Following extensive testing, he chose to go up from a medium to a large V-PRi frame because it provided a faster setup for his specific riding position, mirroring the sizing approach used by Sam Laidlow.
The Danish athlete collaborated extensively with Drag2Zero to optimize his fit and component selection. His cockpit features Drag2Zero.66 Pole System extensions, a Quintana Roo base bar, an AeroGain Aero BTA front setup, and an EZ Hydro-Gains rear BTS setup. Contact points consist of a Wove V8 saddle and Shimano SPD-SL pedals, while data is tracked via a Wahoo ELEMNT computer.
Shimano Dura-Ace Wheels Pair with 1x Groupset
The drivetrain utilizes a Shimano 1x groupset paired with a 165mm crank length and a 60-tooth front chain ring, with a crank-based power meter measuring output. For wheels, Høgenhaug runs Shimano Dura-Ace models, pairing a 60mm deep C-60 on the front with a pro-only 100mm deep C-99 rear wheel equipped with Continental Grand Prix TT TR 28 mm tires.
Høgenhaug Prepares for Kona After Previous Ninth Place
The aerodynamic bike setup supports Høgenhaug as he heads toward Hawi during the Kona race. While his season results have not matched his 2025 performances—where he took second place at both the IRONMAN European Championship Frankfurt and IRONMAN Lake Placid—he secured a ninth-place finish the last time the men’s race was held in Kona.
