Bratislava – As a new year begins, many make resolutions to prioritize their well-being – more sleep, healthier eating, increased physical activity. For actress, writer, and influencer Kristína Tormová, the need for a reset came much sooner, and more unexpectedly.
Tormová describes a frequent need for personal re-evaluation. “To be honest, I reset even several times a day, because with my ADHD, I get exhausted very quickly and always have to somehow rise from the dead,” she revealed. When her energy flags, she finds solace in the simplest of remedies: “A lot of sleep, and if work allows, I lie down in the afternoon and then work in the evening.”
One significant change for Tormová has been eliminating coffee from her diet. “Stopping coffee was a pretty fundamental change, so I switched to teas, and I have to say, it’s a better reset,” she explained. This shift extends to her eating habits as well. “I’m trying to eat properly, because it was only in my 40s that I realized I was eating very badly, so now I place a lot of emphasis on food.”
However, it was an unforeseen health issue in June that prompted the most profound shift in her approach to life. “My body reset itself in June, unexpectedly due to health problems, so I was reborn at that point,” Tormová stated. Since then, she has been committed to a more responsible lifestyle, incorporating regular exercise into her routine. “I go to strength training, and if I can’t, I do yoga, I walk a lot, I cycle…”
Tormová recently attended an event hosted by a Swedish cosmetics brand, where she was asked if she had experienced a similar reset with her skin. She responded with a humorous anecdote, suggesting a lighthearted approach to self-care.
The actress also recently underwent a medical procedure, prompting reflection on the importance of preventative care. According to a report from Zena.pluska.sk, Tormová emphasized the need for women to prioritize their health. “Watching your body and finding time for prevention can save your health and maybe even your life,” she reportedly said, encouraging regular medical check-ups.
Tormová’s openness about her personal life extends to her body image, as highlighted by Topky.sk. She has shared photos of herself online, inviting both support and criticism, demonstrating a willingness to present her authentic self without pretense.
In March 2025, Tormová announced her departure after 17 years from the television show “Postav dom, zasaď strom,” according to Nový Čas. While she did not disclose the specific reasons for her decision, she acknowledged it was a difficult and painful topic for her, and that she would share more details when she felt ready.
Tormová has also been open about her long-term commitment to therapy, reportedly stating to Novinky.zoznam.sk that she has been attending therapy for years. She uses these sessions to navigate challenges, including seasonal melancholy, and to develop strategies for self-care.
