Extension of Visa Transfer for Domestic Workers in Kuwait Urged
The Public Authority for Workforce has announced the expiration of Ministerial Decision No. 6/2024, which allowed the transfer of domestic workers to the private sector.
Initially, Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al Youssef Al Sabah introduced a decision permitting domestic workers to be transferred to the private sector within a specific timeframe, from July 14 to September 12.
There is a growing demand to extend the implementation of this decision for an additional two months or to make it a permanent policy, similar to neighboring countries.
