Nick Kyrgios, the 2022 Wimbledon runner-up, will not compete at this year’s tournament or during the remainder of the grass-court season. The Australian athlete announced Tuesday that he is experiencing a setback in his recovery from previous injuries.
Kyrgios, 30, has struggled with injuries, including wrist and knee issues, in recent years. He has played in only five singles matches in 2025, winning just one. His last tournament appearance was at the Miami Open in March, where he secured his first match victory in nearly two and a half years.
Currently ranked No. 633 in the world, Kyrgios reached a career-high ranking of No. 13 in 2016. His best Grand Slam performance came at Wimbledon three years ago,where he advanced to the final before losing to Novak Djokovic.
