British Para-Swimmers Receive Funding Boost After​ Paris Success

Thirty-six British swimmers, including 15 paralympic champions,‍ will receive UK Sport⁣ funding ⁤for the 2025 season after a successful showing in Paris.The Aquatics GB Para-swimming World class program (WCP) provides athletes with financial assistance and access to ⁢sports science and medicine services.

Britain secured ‍second place in the swimming medal table at the Paris games, winning 18 gold medals. Maisie summers-Newton, Stephen Clegg, Alice Tai, and Poppy Maskill, ParalympicsGB’s moast decorated athlete in ⁣Paris, are among those included in the programme. This funding aims to support their continued development and success in para-swimming.

Adam Clarke, Aquatics GB’s led for ⁣Para-swimming, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming season. He said the association is⁢ looking forward to seeing how the athletes thrive at the start of ⁤a new Paralympic cycle, with the support of ​an outstanding staff.
