Tickets for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games officially went on sale this week, with a presale window opening on April 2nd for residents of Southern California and Oklahoma. LA28 plans to make 14 million tickets available for the Games, potentially breaking the record for total tickets sold, currently held by Paris 2024.
The virtual ticket box opened on Wednesday, April 2nd, and will remain open through Sunday, April 6th, for those who registered with zip codes from qualifying counties in California (Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura) and Oklahoma (Oklahoma, Canadian, and Cleveland). Purchases during this presale require a payment method with a billing zip code from one of these qualifying counties.
A general ticket window will follow from April 9th to April 19th. The LA28 Games have already seen a record number of ticket registrations, exceeding 5 million fans from 197 countries and territories during the initial registration phase.
Ticket Limits and Availability
Fans are limited to a maximum of 12 tickets each across all sports and sessions. An additional 12 tickets can be purchased for soccer sessions, which do not count towards the general ticket maximum. This allows for a total potential purchase of 24 tickets per fan.
LA28 is also developing a verified resale program, slated to launch in 2027, to provide a secure platform for fans to buy and sell tickets. Details of this program are still forthcoming.
Oklahoma City Events and Access
Residents of Oklahoma City have been granted early access to tickets for events that will be held in their city during the 2028 Olympics. This is due to Oklahoma City being a host city for certain Olympic events.

Premium Experiences
For those seeking a more luxurious Olympic experience, LA28 will offer premium options including access to premium food and beverage options, suite access, and “white glove” service. Details regarding pricing and availability for these premium packages have not yet been fully released.
Olympic and Paralympic Dates
The Olympic Games are scheduled to take place from July 14th to July 30th, 2028. The Paralympic Games will follow, running from August 15th to August 27th, 2028.
