Irish Revenue officials have conducted a series of operations in dublin, the Midlands, and at Rosslare Europort, resulting in the seizure of a diverse range of illicit goods, including counterfeit toys, drugs, wine, and weapons. The seizures demonstrate ongoing efforts to combat illegal trade and protect consumers.
Counterfeit Goods Worth Over €90,000
A significant haul of counterfeit items, totaling over €90,000 in value, was confiscated. This included 200 “Labubu” dolls, a currently popular collectible toy, alongside 374 other counterfeit products.Brands affected by the counterfeiting included Adidas, Birkenstock, Cartier, Moncler, Nike, and Louis Vuitton, according to RTÉ News.
Weapons and Dangerous Items Recovered
Authorities also seized a variety of weapons and potentially dangerous items. These included gun accessories, smoke bombs, an airsoft sub-machine gun, pepper spray, and a nunchuck. The presence of these items raises concerns about public safety, as reported by RTÉ News.

Significant Wine and Drug Seizures
at Rosslare Europort last Thursday, officials seized approximately 11,340 litres of ISKAR Rara Neagra red wine, arriving via ferry from France. The wine has a retail value exceeding €138,325.Simultaneously, a ample quantity of drugs was also seized, including cannabis oil, edibles, synthetic cannabinoids, MDMA, Ketamine, and cannabinoid vapes.
The drug seizures included 1.59kg of herbal cannabis, valued at €25,640, and 742 tablets. These parcels originated from the US, Thailand, and the UK, and were destined for addresses throughout Ireland, as detailed in the RTÉ News report.
