Lady Gaga Covers “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” for Super Bowl Ad
Lady Gaga performed her version of “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?,” the theme song from Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood, in a Super Bowl commercial for Redfin and Rocket, according to Rolling Stone.
In a behind-the-scenes clip filmed at Shangri-La Studios, Gaga explained her connection to the song and its original performer, Fred Rogers. “I just think about my earliest memories as a kid watching Mister Rogers, and I think about how much he meant to people, especially kids at home,” she said. “So I feel like this just needs to be very heartfelt and kind and warm.”
“It was interesting to create something really heartfelt that keeps the purity and beauty of the original version but does it in a new way,”
