A brush fire, dubbed the Lake Fire, broke out near Silverwood Lake in San Bernardino County on Saturday afternoon, stranding more than 100 people and prompting evacuations. The Lake Fire started around 4 p.m.near Highway 173 and Cedar Springs Dam Trail, within the Silverwood Lake State Recreation Area. According to Cal Fire, the blaze rapidly expanded from 60 acres to 478 acres by late evening and remains zero percent contained. the brush fire cause is under inquiry.
