Lakers’ Jaxson Hayes Re-Injures Ankle, Out 2-3 Weeks
Lakers center Jaxson Hayes has re-sprained his right ankle and will miss about two to three weeks, according to sources. He missed the Lakers’ last two games and underwent an MRI that showed the injury’s severity.
Hayes had already missed two weeks earlier this season due to the same ankle. He returned to play against the Phoenix Suns but reinjured his ankle during a dunk in the final minute of the game.
This season, Hayes is averaging 6.4 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. The Lakers also lack another backup big man, Christian Wood, who has not played this season due to complications following knee surgery.
