The NBA has fined Charlotte Hornets guard LaMelo Ball $35,000 and assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 following an incident involving Miami Heat center-forward Bam Adebayo during the SoFi Play-In Tournament on April 14, 2026.

The incident occurred during the opening minute of the second quarter, with 11:13 remaining in the period. According to league reports, Ball was bumped to the floor after his shot was blocked. While Ball was on the ground, Bam Adebayo leaped into the air to save the ball from going out of bounds, tossing it to Heat forward Pelle Larsson before landing out of bounds.
