Long An Province Issues New Regulations on Land Division and Consolidation
The People’s Committee of Long An province has recently issued a decision outlining the conditions for land division, land consolidation, and minimum area requirements for various types of land in the province.
The decision stipulates the minimum area requirements for residential land plots, which vary depending on the location and type of land. For instance, the minimum area for an urban residential land plot adjacent to a public road with a red line boundary of 19m or more is 45m2, while the minimum area for a rural residential land plot is 100m2.
There are three scenarios outlined in the decision:
- Land plots adjacent to a public road with a red line boundary of 19m or more: The minimum area for an urban residential land plot is 45m2, and the minimum area for a rural residential land plot is 100m2.
- Land plots adjacent to a public road with a red line boundary of less than 19m: The minimum area for an urban residential land plot is 36m2, and the minimum area for a rural residential land plot is 80m2.
- Land plots adjacent to a public road or path with no red line boundary: The minimum area for an urban residential land plot is 80m2, and the minimum area for a rural residential land plot is 100m2.
In addition to residential land, the decision also outlines minimum area requirements for agricultural land, land in industrial parks and clusters, commercial land, and services, as well as land for non-agricultural production establishments.
The decision also specifies the adjustment range, applicable objects, principles, and conditions for dividing and combining land plots.
The Provincial People’s Committee has assigned the Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to oversee the implementation of this decision, which takes effect on November 6, 2024, and replaces the previous Decision No. 42/2021/QD-UBND.
This new decision aims to provide clarity and consistency in land division and consolidation practices in Long An province, promoting more efficient and effective use of land resources.
