According to event organizers and festival reporting, the festival is returning to Auckland’s Western Springs on February 21, rather than on the public holiday.
Auckland Festival Date and Venue Details
The festival is scheduled to take place on Sunday, February 21, 2027, at Western Springs in Auckland. Last year’s event drew a record-breaking crowd of more than 36,000 fans, shifting away from its traditional Auckland Anniversary weekend slot to February 5, the Thursday before Waitangi Day. Ticket sales for the upcoming event open with an Auckland presale starting at 11am on October 7, followed by general ticket availability at 11am on October 8.

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams will bring The Hayley Williams Show
to New Zealand for the first time as a solo artist, separate from her work with the pop-punk band currently on hiatus. Williams is expected to perform tracks from her third solo album, Ego Death for a Bachelorette Party. Joining her at the top of the bill, Irish rock band Fontaines D.C. will make their Laneway Festival debut in New Zealand following sold-out arena tours and headline sets at Reading and Leeds. Both headliners will perform extended sets featuring music from their newest albums, with Fontaines D.C. releasing their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, on October 16.
