The latest chapter picks up 10 years after the partial destruction of Rushville, moving the timeline to 2026. John Stewart, played by Aaron Pierre, returns to the town following the reported death of Hal Jordan, portrayed by Kyle Chandler. Before attending Jordan’s funeral, Stewart crosses paths with Carol Ferris, a character in Green Lantern comics created by John Broome and Gil Kane who made her page debut in Showcase #22 in late 1959.
