Laois Shopping Centre Pipeline Changes Portlaoise

The existing entrance from the Kyle Centre side (via steps and a wheelchair ramp) will be blocked up. Note: The public notice doesn’t mention any changes to the pedestrian crossing on Kylekiproe Road.
236 sq metres of retail space will be converted into ’circulation’ space (lobby) over three levels (lower ground, mall, and first floor). This affects units 36,136,and anchor 03.
A new common lobby area with lift access to all levels will be created.
Minor floor level reconfiguration is planned for the lower ground floor.
2. Larger Retail Unit:
Two upper ground floor retail units (35 & 36), both accessed from the internal mall, will be merged to create a single unit of 781 sq metres.

A food court was recently opened near the existing Kylekiproe entrance.
These changes are all focused on improving access, circulation, and retail space within the shopping centre.
