Scheme Details and Eligibility
The credits are provided annually from the year a child turns one until the year the child turns six. For the 2026 tranche, the disbursement covers children born between 2020 and 2025.
This upcoming disbursement on April 28 marks the second time credits have been distributed under the Large Family LifeSG Credits scheme, which was originally introduced during Budget 2025.
The credits are specifically targeted at the third and subsequent Singaporean children in a family who fall within the one-to-six-year-old age bracket.
Distribution and Access
The credits will be distributed automatically to the Child Development Account (CDA) trustee of each eligible child. No application process is required for families to receive the funds.
CDA trustees can access the credits through the LifeSG app. To notify families of the disbursement, the government will send an SMS from gov.sg
.
Usage and Validity
The credits are valid for 12 months from the date of disbursement. They can be used at a variety of merchants that accept NETS QR or PayNow UEN QR payments.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) on April 6, 2026, the credits can be applied toward several types of services and goods, including:
- Supermarkets and pharmacies
- Utility providers
- Transport services, such as private-hire rides and taxis
