TBS will broadcast a completely new special drama, “Last man – Blind Investigator – FAKE/TRUTH,” on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at 9:00 AM JST. This installment features an unprecedented Shibuya bombing terrorist plot and a criminal studio barricade incident with hostages including Minami and the Prime Minister.
Synopsis
Hiromi minami (Masaharu Fukuyama), the “Last Man” – an FBI special agent who is completely blind – returns to Japan after completing training in the United States. Shintaro Godo (Hiroshi Oizumi) of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police DepartmentS First Investigative Division also underwent FBI training alongside Minami, strengthening their bond in Washington and New York.
Upon Godo’s return to Japan, a rift develops in their relationship. Simultaneously,Minami appears on a television program when the studio is seized by armed terrorists.They take Minami, broadcaster Misaki Harima (Wakana Matsumoto), and Prime Minister Yoshimi Gonohashi (Kotaro Yoshida) hostage, demanding a $1 billion ransom and threatening to detonate explosives throughout Tokyo.
Under the direction of Izumi Godou (Ren Nagase), Shintaro struggles to rescue the hostages and identify the perpetrators. Madoka Sakura (Yo Yoshida), Minami’s attendant, is also detained by the criminals.
