Omar ‍Marmoush ⁤Leads Eintracht ‌Frankfurt ‌to German Cup Round of ⁣16

Eintracht Frankfurt secured a spot in ‌the round of ⁤16 of the German Cup, defeating ⁤Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 at the Deutsche Bank​ Park.

Despite being outnumbered, Omar Marmoush started the match on the bench before coming on in the 63rd minute ⁤to ⁢score​ the winning goal‌ for the team in the 70th minute of the ‌match.

Eintracht took ​the lead in the second⁢ minute of first-half stoppage time, 45 + 2, through Hugo Ekitiki, while Borussia Mönchengladbach equalized ⁣through Ko Itakura ⁣in the 47th minute and Marmoush scored his side’s winner in the 70th minute. He received a ball inside the penalty area and shot hard into the top⁤ corner of the goal.

Frankfurt ​defender Arthur ​Theati was sent off 15 minutes into the match.
